There are many different types of air conditioning units. Listed below are the most commonly used units.
Wall Mounted Units
As the name suggests, these units are fixed to an interior wall (stud wall or solid) just below ceiling height and are piped to an external condensing unit. Slim in design and operated via a hand held remote control.
Ceiling Cassettes
These units are normally mounted within a suspended ceiling void, presenting a view of the flat facia which has a two, three or four-way blow system covering a greater area. Cassette units are ideal for shops, restaurants and larger offices and anywhere with sufficient ceiling space.
The units again, are connected to an external condensing unit which can be installed in any convenient outside location. Depending on the heating and cooling capacity and requirements, several indoor units can be connected to one outdoor unit.
Under Ceiling Units
Similar to the ceiling cassette but for use where there is very little or no ceiling void and connected to an outdoor condensing unit. These units sit just below the ceiling.
Floor Mounted Units
Compactly designed to minimise floor standing space.
In Ceiling Ducted Units
The in ceiling ducted units enables the air inlet and outlet system to be freely chosen depending on the building structure. Thus keeping your rooms looking beautiful.
The conditioned air is distributed through unseen ductwork via various styles of vents and grilles.
